Grand Nuit Formula 1 - Montreal Casino
Produced for Sensix Communications & Events
The Grand Nuit Formule 1 is the BIG event in the Montreal 'scene'. Occurring during the Formula 1 weekend, this years event also celebrated the 40th anniversary of Expo67.

Eclipse was hired by Sensix to produce all the visual elements to support this stunning show. This clip combines excerpts from throughout the show, edited to the live performance on the night of Dr.Draw.

 
 
 

Vaccination
Produced for Sensix Communications & Events
The team at Eclipse was tasked by Sensix with producing nearly 20 minutes of top-notch video content involving a 24ft green-screen shoot, a huge post-production job of compositing, 3D design and editing as well as assisting with on-site coordination of the video technicians to ensure that the video feed blended perfectly with the live action.

The challenge was to seamlessly integrate live action with pre-recorded video to provide a stunning presentation for the launch of a new vaccine for a major pharmaceutical company last August.

Putting the post-production together required a team of 6 people using the latest Mac G5s and terabytes of storage, working non-stop for 3 weeks. Combined with live action the end result was that the show was awarded the `Best Event Entertainment Concept and Execution` in the 2006 Special Events Gala Awards competition held in Los Angeles on January 10th 2007.


 
 
 

FDI 2005
Produced for Sensix Communications & Events

Eclipse was hired by Sensix to produce a series of backdrops and video sequences for the FDI 2005 conference, a huge international event with an audience of 5000 and a huge ensemble cast performing a number of routines to showcase Canadian culture.

The visuals were all projected on screens, one as large as 36ftx12ft and provided an exciting backdrop to the event.

Lennox
Produced for Visionmix of Louisville, Kentucky
This animation sequence combines live-action with compositing to produce an interesting effect that was used as part of a CD-based multimedia campaign by Lennox.

The client had trouble finding a local company to do this, as they were all trying the 3D route which looked cheesy. We pushed an alternative technique and turned the project round on-schedule.

The interesting thing with this, apart from the treatment, is that the entire project was handled virtually. The files were uploaded and downloaded by FTP and we never met the client.

The turnaround time for the entire project, including filming, lip-synching and compositing was 5 days. The end clips were then inserted into the presentation at the Louisville agency and flown down to Atlanta the next day for the deadline-meeting.

The only files we got from the client was the logo and an eps file of the Lennox guy`s head which we had to glue onto a rotoscoped actors head and animate the mouth and movements.

It's lucky for them that we came through, which perhaps explains the prompt payment.

Incidentally, as everybody is blasé about high-speed internet nowadays, this project was produced 6 years ago when the only references to 'high-speed' meant Steve McQueen movies.
